Associate Scientist – Gastrointestinal Simulations and Analytics

Job content:
As a vital contributor to our team, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the success of both customer-focused and internal R&D projects. Your daily responsibilities will involve organizing and executing a variety of laboratory activities, working with advanced molecular, analytical, and biological techniques.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the execution of gastrointestinal simulation experiments using our proprietary simulation platforms.
- Utilizing a wide range of state-of-the-art techniques such as DNA extractions, qPCR, gas and liquid chromatography, spectrophotometric assays, and flow cytometry.
- Analyzing experimental data and providing detailed reports to scientists and project managers.
- Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement within the lab, ensuring our processes keep on running smoothly.

Required Qualifications:

Associate Scientist – Pharma

- Studying gastrointestinal dissolution and intestinal permeation of drug compounds using the DIAMOD® technology and further optimizing and expanding this technology platform accordingly.
- Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment including pH electrodes, analytical instruments and automated machinery
- Performing liquid chromatographic (HPLC/UHPLC) experiments, data analysis and reporting. Identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and increase efficiency, including supporting SOP development

Content Marketing Manager (scientific and commercial)

Job content:
- Prepare, setup and oversee all marketing campaigns and actions over our different marketing and communication channels to promote our business, products and services
- Develop scientific content to educate and inspire the target scientific communities and ensure the company is communicating the right message and attract prospective customers and retain existing ones
- Take the lead in developing marketing materials including content and visuals based in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
- Perform market research and interact with our clients to understand the market needs, segmentation and dynamics and use for future marketing campaigns
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy in collaboration with the senior management. Report on impact of campaigns and propose for next steps.
- Take a key role in developing and growing our communication strategy to position ProDigest’s thought leadership
- Through marketing activities contribute to attracting new business leads and translate these to the sales team.
- Organize ProDigest’s activities at events and conferences
Profile:
- A master degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. microbiology, biotechnology, food science or related field) with demonstrated content marketing experience (alternatively a marketing master with strong track record in scientific marketing content generation in a relevant field)
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in scientific/content marketing.
- Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels and how to setup marketing campaigns on these channels
- Sound experience in creating marketing content and materials including messaging and visualisation in a client and value-oriented register
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production with respect to marketing and its materials
- Good understanding of market research
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in managing projects with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively
- Good organisational and operational skills
- Hands-on mentality, drive to get things done
- Willingness to travel and attend events & conferences and represent ProDigest
- Open to work from our Ghent (Belgium) based office for at least 3 days a week, unless travelling.
